Day 98

11/25/15

Day 98: The would be Trial Day

Question: What are you thankful for?
Answer: A healthy family

- Warm up
- Shuffle the square
- Band work, 2x: 
      - Fly out wides
      - Arm curls
      - Squatted rows
      - Chest presses
- Wheels on the bus
- Yoga stretches
- Cool down, pack up and go home


Today would have been trial day but since there was only 3 of us, we decided to do just a normal workout. Coral wasn't feeling too good so I hope that she didn't become worse thanks to holding class.

Arm band work really got my arms going today, I felt the burn and normally that would have caused me to pause and stop but I kept going because I wanted to actually work on getting results. The burn means its working, lol!!!

We did a few balance yoga moves in class and as Coral was demonstrating one of them, I just stared and sighed, she caught that and laughed. She then explained and showed me how it was when she first started with that particular pose. I felt a little tiny bit better but I attempted the pose and while I couldn't hold it as long as the others, as least I tried and didn't just give up, like normal.


Day 97

Day 97: 100 Ab day!

Question: What is your favorite Thanksgiving food?
Answer: The crispy skin on the Turkey

Today was freaking TONS of ab work! Good reason though, we are celebrating our 100 day of working out. My numbers may be a bit off thanks to a few cancelled or missed classed but it was close enough to 100 to make it work, lol

Coral had us do the same ab routine over the span of the entire class and we made sure to do 100 of everything. I have to admit I was really disappointed that I was not more sore after this class. I was covered in sweat and I pushed myself but the next day I wasn't really feeling it as much as I wanted.

The 100 seconds warm up at the start of class seemed to last FOREVER, lol, you never seem to realize how long certain things are until you want to stop but know that you need to keep going!

The stretching and toning is something I am getting better at. I am actually putting more effort into the yoga poses vs just chilling out for some water and it is helping me feel more limber.


Day 96

Day 96:

- Get on Yoga mats: Pilates Ab work cycle
- Stretch out with Yoga

I am all over the place with my blog lately. I have been skipping days, telling myself I will do it later and then while I do, I am forgetting things like question of the day or different activities that we had done,

Today is one of those days where remembering the question of the day was just not happening.

The liners were good, I tend to just speed walk vs run or jog. I had fun with the barre stretches, lots of pointed feet and knee bending with that one. I shared a video with Coral and she got a few tips from it. A big thank you from the class was shared with me, lol

The dinosaur book was a lot of jumping. Every time she said the word Dinosaur, we jumped, lol

The jumping jacks are always a challenge on the arms and the ab work went smoothly.

The telling time moves are pretty good on the legs, you want to make sure just to wear socks and no shoes while you are moving one leg and it is great for balance. I am happy to have a clock to reference when my brain pulls a dork and forgets what position I should be in, lol!!

Day 95: The delayed blog

Question: What is the most sore you have been from a workout?
Answer: I had to think about it but I would say from this class because I haven't taken any other type of workout on my own that was to this extent.

:Edit notes 11/30/15: So my brain wouldn't really let this one go. I tried to just move on but it wasn't happening, lol, I remembered the question of the day and a few of the workouts that we had done. I added them in.

Life has been so busy and a bit stressful lately so I decided to skip a day on my blog. We worked out of Friday but I never posted about it.

It was a small class, just three of us and Coral but it was still nice. Worked up a sweat working out and it helped me destress a little since I already had been on the go since I woke up. After class, I had a non stop rushing day and was so happy just relax at home for the night.

I am slowly making my way through my scattered and missed posts now. Life has been crazy but it finally calming down!

Answer: I had so many questions before I could actually decided but overall, I went with the amusement park.

Things went good today, that new story was a killer with some of the moves. I kept slipping with my shoes on while doing the push ups but I got them done! For a moment, I thought that I was not going to feel the leg lifts and then we moved across the room to do lunges and there it was, lol, I am feeling okay now though.

I was feeling kinda bleh last night thanks to fighting off a small sore throat that my daughter shared with me thanks to her teething issues but I felt good during working out today. Lilly was a total cuddle bug so Coral helped me out and wore her in a pack so I could get a good workout in.

I went back to red band today and did good. I also took off my shoes to do the wall sits and it was SO much better! I didn't have slipping issues but my toes were not so attractive today, lol, I took care of that once I got home.

I don't really have much to talk about today other than I had a good workout and built up a good sweat. I am hoping tomorrow will be as good, if not better.

Day 92

Question: Do you have an animal nickname that you call your child / children?
Answer: Nothing current that we do but I think something with Bear has been tossed around with both kids, Lilly might have gotten Lilly bug, once or twice. I tend to use more terms like Sister or Mama when talking to Lilly and I just call Santi Son or Brother.

Today was a bit on the down side for me, I have some personal stuff that has got me really stressed and worried and it showed in my workout. I had to regress down to the green band and I haven't done that in a long while. My hip is also really sore from my shot and I am so over the hurts. I think that today helped with stretching out those muscles though.

Keeping it short and simple today, not really much to talk about but I did go to class and I did get some movement in. Tomorrow will be another day and I just will just breath through it all.

The studio started out really hot this morning, I am really happy that Coral was able to turn down the heat or I would have been miserable! 

The leg routines were pretty good today, I was about to do them all without feeling like ym butt was going to fall off, lol, my only issue was with the calf pulses and the bottom of my feet were hurting instead of me feeling it in my calves. It was odd because I normally always feel it in my calves. 

Old Mac Donald had a couple funny moments, when you go to suggest an animal, always make sure you know what sound they make, lol, otherwise we all make a bunch of crazy weird noises!

The yoga moves Coral had us do today felt good, I was able to pull them off and I didn't feel so bleh about it. I am just glad I didn't let my partner down!

Funny story with one of our leg stretches: We were bending and flexing our legs in different ways and I happen to look over at Coral once my daughter had allowed me to turn my head and all I see is Coral looking like a pretzel with her legs all bent and folded up. I attempted it but failed miserably on that pose, rofl, I did make sure to stretch out my thighs and legs though since that was our focus today.

That dice game never seems to get any easier and I am glad that Coral isn't having us stick with winning and losing rewards, lol, I am finding myself on the slower team but it is okay, at least I am getting my workout in and making sure that I am getting my correct form vs hurrying through everything.

Answer: I would just grow my own food. I would have a seriously difficult time with the meat part but I would still try, lol

Today was good! I was covered in sweat and I was still able to maintain a slow and steady pace. I was really worried about becoming over heated during the side shuffles and I totally thought my nose was about to start bleeding. I was okay though and that is when I pulled back.

My upper thighs / legs were much better on the sore today until we hit the Donkey kicks, rofl, I also noticed a difference on how you can feel the muscles when you use your hands and knees to balance vs using your forearms. I did all billion of the leg things though and I was feeling good and sweaty once I was done.

Those bear crawls were crazy for me today. Obviously something I need to improve on! I got a bit dizzy so I had to stop and do a different activity instead. I don't think anyone wants me passing out on them, lol, one of the other mom's was assigned reverse lunges so I just did those. Worked out perfect.

I was really excited that Coral brought out the jump ropes today! I was taking it nice and easy today and I did some travelling jumps. I think that makes it so much easier on my shins which have been building up some resistance so they don't hurt as much when I jump! That is such great news for me!

Ah, the cool down yoga and stretching. I was trying to just unwind in my own little way since my tummy had been a little upset from me getting hungry and a bit hot. I really wanted to do some leg flutters but I figured that wasn't really cooling down so much as more leg work, lol

I may or may not have gotten a spoiler about tomorrow and found out that we might or might not be doing some yoga. I think I am going to bust out my tighter workout pants so I can make sure Coral can catch me on my body posture. My baggy pants tend to hide my figure.


Day 89

11/10/15

Day 89: Arm Day

Question: Introduce yourself and Did you know that you were pregnant before you took the test?

Answer: With both kids, I had a missed period, so kinda. I never got any of the soreness or early morning sickness that some of the other mom's in the group got.

I was so sore today from the windshield wiper things that Coral had us do yesterday that starting out was freaking tough! I pushed through it and now it is at a dull pain. Progress! From what I hear, everyone is happy that I am getting some pains in those muscles because that means I am actually working them down to build them stronger. That's cool with me, I want my bubble butt back!!

Those wall sits are getting me every time. My feet are hurting from trying to slip vs me being able to actually work my butt and thighs like I am supposed to. I will find a solution to this!

We did a new activity today, the Leg Clocks! So happy I didn't slip and land on my face during this workout. It was actually pretty fun. For these, Coral shouts out a time and you want one leg to move to that hour hand.

After class, I had a bunch of bill paying to do so I decided to suck it up and walk everywhere. I have gotten to complacent with my car around. I felt my butt the entire walk and I think it really helped work out a few kinks that I missed during the cool down stretches. If only it hadn't been so cold then it would have been even more awesome.

I am so happy we are inside now and as it turns out, so are a few new mom's who have been joining us lately! Our classes have been getting bigger every day!

Day 88

11/9/15

Day 88: Survived another Monday

Question: What was the first thing you did after you woke up?

Answer: I jokingly said I got out of bed but the ladies wanted more to my answer, lol, I went to my computer, checked on my Tupperware business, facebook and a couple of other online sites. Then I started to watch a children's show on Netflix to help my Son get out of bed.

Today was a bit rough. I think between the candy that I have been plowing through over the weekend and getting over heated during the workout, my stomach and head just weren't happy today. I did manage to complete most of the workout so I felt good but I could have given more.

I can definitely see where I need to make a few improvements after today's workout routine. I can not bend, lift and flex like I used to. I guess I really should just pop in my old yoga and pilates dvd's on my days off from class so I can get back to where I used to be.

It really is embarrassing to be the only one in the class who can't be a pretzel and as a result a lot of negative comments come out of my mouth, which make me feel way worse about myself. Doesn't help that when I hear myself talking, I want to just bang my head against the wall since no one really wants to hear me CONSTANTLY trash talking myself.

I am a work in progress and I am paying the price for not caring about myself and just being very unhealthy. I get that we have been at this class for about 88-90 days but I am still so not used to hanging out with people and having adult conversations. I do hate being so negative about life and I am trying to improve that so please bare with me for a bit longer.

And just because I hate being negative, I wanted to share some positive! I was able to go out of town to go shopping right before Halloween and I found a bunch of leggings that were in my budget! I have been putting off buying leggings because I am still upset at how big my stomach is and I do not want to drop a pretty dime on clothing that won't fit me as I am loosing weight.

When I saw the leggings in the store, I just had to cave and buy a few. Best purchase I have made in a long time. Yes, my stomach is not flat but my legs are looking great in those new pants! I now have some variety in what I am wearing on a daily basis that makes me feel good and I have gotten so many compliments that I feel all warm and glowy inside. My hard work is paying off!

Today our class was pretty big! We had a couple new faces this week and it was nice to have more people joining our group. Switching it up on the blog today, I am going to list a few things I am happy with:
1) I did normal jumping jacks, not low impact
2) I stuck with the red band all day
3) I only really had to pause when my arms felt like they were going to fall off and my breathing was getting in the way of completing an exercise
4) I only rolled one 6 in the dice game
Overall, today was successful and I am kinda sad we are finished until Monday.

Day 86: Leg day

Question: Would you rather have your child wear a uniform or have them pick their own clothing?

Answer: I think it really depends on the uniform and my child's clothing options, lol, I love having my child express themselves through their clothing but I know that I am not always happy with current trends that are out.

- Warm ups
- Head to the Barre bar
- Get into a 90 degree angle
- 30 leg lifts each leg
- pointed and flexed toe
- Low side shuffles across the room and back
- Put one leg on the barre, do both legs:
- stretch straight, touching toe
- bend knee, close to chest
- Get back to that 90 degree angle:
- lift your leg 30 times, each leg
- Get out your bands:
- Old mac Donald
- Wall sits
- Alternate between:
- Lunge to the left
- Sumo Squat
- Lunge to the right
- Get out your Yoga mat:
- Hip lifts

- Open and Close thighs, while in hip lift

- Pack it all up and get ready for Essential Oils class

Today's class was obviously a leg day, lol, my legs were really feeling it! My right side is still weaker than my left but I can feel that it is getting stronger.

Those angles on the barre bar were pretty tough, I for sure felt these in my hammy's and my back. I felt proud that I was able to get my body into the correct position and keep it there!

The leg on the bar was pretty crazy. My legs haven't stretched like that in a long time. I am so happy I was able to get my legs onto the bar though, it was pretty high up and I didn't want to flake and use a lower bar because that is not going to get me my wanted results.

Old Mac Donald went good, I have been making sure to actually do the jumping parts and I have noticed that my shins have stopped hurting as much as they used to! They are slowly getting used to my new movements and that is so exciting for me. It always cracks me up how much the group perks up when they see Coral with her phone, either taking pictures or recording us. I make sure to put a bit more effort into my moves as well, lol

The wall sits were a little bit of a fail for me today. My feet were slipping too much on the tiled floor so I had to stop sooner than I would have liked. I am going to have to figure out a solution to that problem since we are indoors now.

The lunge squats were pretty fun, Lilly chose that time to stand by my legs so I might have missed a few but I still did good!

The yoga mat routine was different. I always feel so silly when we do hip pulses and stuff but the open and close felt great on my thighs! I could do those every day. I do have to complain a bit about the popping in my freaking hip but I am told that as I do more moves and stretches involving those areas then it will go away. I can't wait for that day! My right hip / thigh area sucked with the popping and being tense today.
